A Soul Journey
Chana Yaffe, a Jewish storyteller from Jerusalem, & Rita Goolamhosen, a Sufi Moslem storyteller found themselves surprised at the striking similarity of many of the stories in their repertoires. "We were astonished" said Yaffe, "but we realized that we really shouldn't have been surprised at all."
She explained that religious stories reflect a view of the ideal world. And, she said, those blessed with a God consciousness generally share a common understanding of the ideal. So the two teamed up and this Thursday night they're offering Londoners a rare glimpse of Jewish – Moslem spiritual synthesis.
